Book clubs

Teen Book Club – 4 p.m. Monday. Rodman Public Library invites teens who love to read to join the Teen Book Club. Led by Reference Librarian Jaime Gross, the group meets on the third Monday of each month at the Main Library. The title selected for April is “The Language of Ghosts”, by Heather Fawcett. The real crime junkies – 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. A book discussion group led by Reference Librarian Ashley Mock meets every third Tuesday of the month at the Main Library. April’s selection is “American Predator: The Hunt for the 21st Century’s Most Thorough Serial Killer,” by Maureen Callahan. Signup is required at rodmanlibrary.evanced.info/signup. Children’s book club – 4:15 p.m. Wednesday. Children between the ages of 8 and 12 are invited to attend on the third Wednesday of each month. “The Wild Robot”, by Peter Brown, is the title selected for April. Led by Stacy Digianantonio, children’s book club meetings include a brief book discussion, a fun activity, and a snack. Books are available for extended payment. Continuous programming

“The Fashion of History” – The exhibition will be in place at the Rodman Gallery until April 30. Sponsored by the Alliance Area Preservation Society, the exhibit combines styles from the 1800s to the 1970s with Alliance sites where they are said to have been worn.

Animation club for teenagers – 3 p.m. Tuesday. 12-18 year olds are invited to RPL on a selected Tuesday each month to watch their favorite anime episodes on the big screen. For more information, call the referral service at 330-821-2665, ext. 217. No registration required.

Tech Time Thursday – 11 a.m. Thursday. A librarian will be on hand for one hour every Thursday at the Main Library to answer basic questions about your computer or electronic devices, such as cell phones, laptops and tablets.
